Hanbury King’s distinguished career includes significant service to students
with specific learning disabilities. Trained in dyslexia and Orton-Gillingham
methods by preeminent medical and educational scholars, King has served on the
faculty at Sidwell Friends School and the Potomac School, and is the founder of
the Kildonan School and Dunnebeck Camp for dyslexic students. She now writes and
lectures, trains teachers, and tutors students in reading.
