EPS Offers Modern Learning Press Titles
Adds to Vital Reading, Literacy, and Professional Materials

Cambridge, Mass., August 26, 2003 — The many educational materials developed and marketed by Modern Learning Press (MLP) will now be available from Educator's Publishing Service (EPS). EPS is a leading publisher of supplemental reading, language arts, and professional materials for elementary and middle schools and special education.

"We are pleased to add the titles from Modern Learning Press to our offerings," said Nick Gaehde, President of EPS."EPS will provide the same level of service and personalized attention to teachers and administrators that they received from MLP, plus they'll have access to a variety of high-quality materials from the EPS line." Over the past 30 years, MLP has developed and published supplemental education materials for the elementary school market with a focus on reading and language arts. These materials help students with spelling, vocabulary development, and other literacy skills through a number of titles, including Words I Use, which is used in more than 25 percent of K-3 classrooms, Word Power , and My Word Works . In addition to supplemental materials, MLP publishes books that address school readiness, assessment, teaching, and parenting issues.

"MLP is a natural fit with the EPS product and teacher base because everything we do is about success in literacy," said Gaehde. "We are so proud to bring these renowned teaching tools, including professional development books by the late Priscilla Vail, to classrooms throughout America."

MLP materials can be obtained using their existing phone number (800.627.5867) and web site (www.modlearn.com).
